Yes Mr Moore you are right.
This is America and we have the capitalist system.
This system in it’s purest form gave us the 1910’s sweat shops, children working in factories, and the crash of 1929 with a wonderful decade of unemployment, bread lines, soup kitchens, etc.
The job creators are enjoying the lowest tax burden as a percentage of their income since 1916 and they will get around to creating jobs just as soon as the uncertainty of taxes and regulations is resolved.
In 1917, we had a 67% marginal income tax rate.
In fact, most of the elite’s income in the last 10 years have been taxed at 15% capital gains rate, and that was the rate in back in 1916; nearly a century ago.
Some defenders of the present system say this is just the way Capitalism works or worse, thrives. If they are right, is it too late to consider the Australians, or the Canadians or the Swiss social democratic system? A country being run by corporations actively destroying our living wages is not a better world for our children.
1% of the population does effectively owns 40% of the country.
Yes, Mr Moore, you are right.
